We've Got A Cat On The Edge!

The first time Orlando escaped from the house we couldn't figure out how he'd done it because we knew he hadn't gone out any of the doors. B theorised that he jumped out the boys' window - now we have proof that B was right!

Helping Baby Brother

McColley and Brayton 'helped' Daddy do some final work on Pearson's swing.

The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly (Hats)

The Good:
Sir Brayton spent the evening protecting us from baby fire-breathing dragons

The Bad:
A backwards helmet doesn't actually offer much head protection

The Ugly:
This is supposed to be a picture of Brayton with his pinkafied pajama shorts on his head.
However, McColley got ahold of my iPhone and decided that he didn't like that picture so he deleted it.
He had to provide a replacement picture

Seriously, He's Almost 5?!

Although McColley's birthday is still about two months away, I was asked to post his wish list a bit early to account for additional shipping time.  Here's what he's asking for this year:

-Le.gos especially the Ho.th Wam.pa Cave and a L.ego Game

-Star Wars Ca.ptain Rex shoes (Toddler Size 12)

-Water Blasters (Parents preference is something that comes in a set)

-Clothes in 5T or 5 Boys - especially pants

-Anything advertized in a commercial on Ni.ckelodeon/Disn.ey/Ca.rtoon Network EXCEPT the girly stuff (like Lelly Kelly)

We have already started buying him some presents as well, including some of the Star Wars things from P.ottery B.arn Kid.s.  It's going to be a low key birthday this year but at least Daddy will be home for it!

Back To The Big Plan

Guess where we went yesterday:
Hint: Wind.sor Castle is in the background

Yep!  Legola.nd Winds.or!

Our first stop was lunch in the Kn.ights' Kingd.om:

Then we headed into the E.nchanted F.orest to view some wildlife:

Next some pirates taught us how to pan for gold:

McColley very carefully pulled out all the gold pieces we found:

And then the boys traded the gold in for some gold medals:

As we continued to walk around the park the skies opened up and it was time for coats:

Although our next stop was underwater anyway:

Keeping with the water theme, we got in our longest line of the day (luckily Le.gos were provided to kill time):

It was a boat ride - but McColley got to drive Daddy around:

And Brayton got to drive me around:

Since we were in the Traffic area, McColley got to also drive a car (much to Brayton's irritation):

McColley was a very good drive and avoided several traffic jams:

Then we found MiniLand:

Both boys got a second chance to drive boats, these ones were just small:

Our last stop of the day was the big Le.go store.  McColley was super excited to find Comm.ander Rex providing security:

The best part of the day was the fact that we got annual passes, so we can go back any time we want!

Plan B(owling)

Today B had a day off work and we had Big Plans.   And then Brayton woke up feeling a bit under the weather.

Instead of our Big Plan, we went bowling.

McColley has moved up from the 6lbs. ball to the 8lbs. ball:

He has also learned to push his ball down the slide (which gives it a wicked backspin) and watch as it goes down the lane:

Brayton can now take his turn completely by himself:

However, he just lets his ball roll down the slide naturally and as soon as it's out of his hands he walks away:

Unfortunately he was mostly walking away so he could go and lay down on the couch.  He pooped out after the 4th frame and only bowled after that with a lot of encouragement.  That's why Brayton's and McColley's scores aren't really accurate - they switched around and we let Brayton bowl whenever he was up to it (although pretty much all the high scoring frames were done by McColley):

And, yes, after starting out with four straight gutterballs, I won!  I just needed a few frames to figure out my balance issues.  B was a bit irritated by the come-from-behind win (and the strike in the 10th frame).

Today In Responsible Parenting

I complied with a dual request to draw their own faces on their chests. Gotta love washable markers!

However, after taking that picture McColley decided his own face just wasn't enough.

He had to turn it into a no-alien brothers sign PLUS his name PLUS alien medical symbols PLUS other stuff...
Now he wants to take a bath so he can start over.

Two-Thirds Cooked

Today I am 28 weeks and/or 7 months and/or beginning the third trimester:

Usually the 28th week is a flurry of activities... but not this time!  I'm supposed to have a midwife appointment (but she's on vacation) and get my RhoGam shot this week (but the hospital scheduled it for next Monday... and they call it the Anti-D shot).

So, next week will be the flurry of activity!

The Park!

Sometimes we aren't the most observant.  We only noticed the biggest park on base a few weeks ago.  Ever since we saw it the boys have been asking to go and play there.  Today we finally did:

McColley immediately started going down the slides:

Brayton considered going down one...

And then decided against it as McColley ran back to go again:

After five or six slides, McColley finally noticed there was other stuff to do:

Both boys liked the teeter-totter:

And Brayton finally decided he would go down a slide but only because there was a slide race:

McColley won!  And the Brayton won!

Paddling Around

Today the temperature hit 80 degrees.  Unfortunately our hose doesn't connect to our ourside faucet.  Fortunately we got invited to go and play at Miss E's house!

They have a super fun pool and all four kids enjoyed splashing around in the paddling pool.  Of course, Brayton was the first one to realize the pool's flowers could also be drinking fountains:

Once one did it... the other three had to follow suit:

Once The Mommies declared the flowers were off-limits as drinking fountains, Miss E's oldest daughter A turned the water up and it was time to use the flowers as showers:

And then as all-purpose wetting devices:

Eventually it was time for an ice lolly break:

And then it was time to dry off in the sun while doing some airplane spotting:

The Thousand Pound Bird

And by pound I mean currency, not weight.

OK, I exaggerate a bit. The repair will only be £936.35.

No, I have not converted that to dollars yet.
