Jumping Eight Time Zones Part 8

Saturday April 21st found us back on the West Side all the way up at Wh.idbey Island for a family wedding:

The ceremony was short but the line for food was long, so the boys killed time by playing with Grandpa's hat:

And then drawing things on Grandma's phone:

And finally getting their groove on:

We bailed out of the reception before the cake was cut because we had birthday cake waiting in our hotel cabin. Saturday the 21st was also GreatGrandma Hopkins' 91st birthday:

Sunday the 22nd dawned bright and sunny so we had our breakfast out on C.oupeville's pier:

Then we took advantage of the weather for a second try at the park with Drew (and uncles):

Brayton and Drew had a great time playing together with Uncle Sean:

And then once again trying to do whatever McColley was doing:

Pearson found the three big boys very exciting:

At one point the two three year-olds decided to walk the balance beam and we could see that Brayton actually has better balance than Drew. You'd never think that based on all the things he runs into!

We ended our playtime at the 'train'. McColley got a nice ride from the three year-olds:

But he returned the favor:

Pearson once again enjoyed the show:

Unfortunately Monday was our day to suit up for the airport and say good-bye to the USA:

All that was left was waiting for the airplane:

April 15th ended with us in the Tri-Cities and at Grandma and Grandpa Maguire's house.

What followed was a week full of learning:

Hanging out with cousins:

Watching Grandpa get inducted into the PHS Hall of Fame:

Hanging out some more with cousins:

Getting a few treats at the Shop:

Being silly:

Playing with Grandpa's trains:

And remembering all the things the boys love to do at Grandma and Grandpa's house:

Sunday April 15th was a huge day - in fact it was the day our whole vacation timing centered on.

The 15th was Pearson's baptism day. We were very privileged to have my cousin Laura and B's cousin Anna serve as his godmothers:

Grandma was happy to see the christening gown she'd made (for Laura) get used again:

Aunt Arianna got an awesome cake to celebrate the occasion:

Unfortunately Pearson is on a rattle-only diet:

We were so blessed to have so many members of our family come out to see the baptism:

There was a bit of post-baptism 'let's see the baby try and crawl in this super long dress' entertainment:

Brayton also maximized his cake eating experience:

GreatGrandma McColley had set up everything with the church for the baptism and even got to serve as the assistant pastor for the service:

April 15th was also B and his biggest brother's birthday so after the baptism we went out with B's family for a birthday lunch. We didn't get them a birthday cake but the giant desserts at the Che.esecake Facto.ry were more than enough celebration!

Jumping Eight Time Zones Part 5

On Friday the 13th we got the chance to wander through Grandma and Grandpa's new house (which they should be moving into soon!):

That night we took our Baby Bobblehead to the Ma.riner's game:

It was Opening Night!

Unfortunately cracking peanuts was more exciting than watching the game:

Saturday afternoon we brought together both sides of our family for portraits. After all that looking fabulous we headed to dinner as a giant group:

Drew and Brayton discovered that their uncles are pretty awesome playmates (only a few noses were lost in the taking of this picture):

Thursday the 12th was a day of BABIES!

We started the day by meeting Jack:

It's amazing what a difference there is between a four month-old and a seven month-old:

The older boys enjoyed getting reacquainted with Cousin Drew (and his toys):

After a morning of inside fun we headed outside to the park:

Anything McColley did the three year-olds had to do too:

They all made it to the top!

It started drizzling so we decided to leave but not before Drew got a lesson in saluting:

Instead of heading straight back to the house we went for some ice cream at a shop where the boys got to add their own toppings:

And THEN it was back to the house for some more playing:

Followed by putting puzzles together as a team:

We had to leave Drew and Jack so that we could go and meet another baby.

We headed out to Maple Valley to meet Cooper!

Once again the two older boys enjoyed invading another kid's room and playing with his toys:

Before we left we had to snap a quick picture of all five future Cougars together:
